Summer Camp Lead

The Dome is hiring one Camp Lead to assist with our 2020 Summer Camp.

This position is paid at $20/hour and involves operating a safe, fun, and organized environment for kids ages 6-12. Check out what our amazing camp is like here.

Job Duties

Works with The Dome’s Director of Programs to manage up to 120 kids and 14 counselors at a time, inside the facility and on weekly field trips
Execute the daily schedule
Work side-by-side with counselors; this is not an office job
Give directions to the camp over the PA system
Maintain a positive and organized atmosphere
Correct kids’ behavior as necessary with time outs and parental involvement
Work through conflict situations with kids and with counselors
Maintain records of negative and positive behavior day-by-day
Communicate negative and positive situations to the Director of Programs
Communicate negative and positive situations to parents/guardians
Call and text parents to inform them of behavior issues and injuries
Create and maintain a fun, safe atmosphere for kids to be in all summer long

Required qualifications

Experience working with groups of children
Available at least 4 days per week, Monday-Friday, 8AM-6PM, from May 26-August 14
First aid, CPR and AED certification (we’ll pay your way through the class)
